Our fourth annual Fashion With Flair Benefit Luncheon and Style Show presented by Sharing the Bread Cedar Hill Food Pantry and New 2 You Thrift Store, was held our August 12, 2010 at the Cedar Hill Recreation Center. This is the only fundraising event we hold each year. The purpose of the style show is to raise awareness of the quality of New2You Thrift Store and to continue the good work of the Cedar Hill Food Pantry. Models wore clothes previously donated to the award winning New2You Thrift Store. Sandy Eddy, store manager, and her volunteers are very proud of being named Today Newspaper's Southwest Resale Store of 2009. This award comes from the community.

Gene Sims, Cedar Hill Food Pantry Executive Director, says "This year's event was the best in the four year history. Since the economy is still down I didn't know what to expect. As it turned out the businesses opened their wallets as well as their hearts."

Cedar Hill Food Pantry marks our 20th year as a member of North Texas Food Bank

“We in Cedar Hill are proud of how efficient and caring the Cedar Hill Food Pantry is operated.” Larry Meyne and Lillie Montgomery, two members of the board of directors, bragged at the North Texas Food Bank Annual Member Agency Conference held May 16, 2008. “We think it is the best in the west.”

Cedar Hill Food Pantry was one of only thirteen agencies out of the hundreds that serve thirteen counties in North Texas to receive the coveted Model Agency Award for 2008. --more--

Fashion With Flair 2010 Was Best Yet

"The food was scrumpious, models beautiful, Silent Auction full of neet things and David Hira's magic was spell bounding. How else can we describe the event?" stated Executive Director, Gene Sims.

This is the first year restaurants to donate the food. 

Babes Chicken,Cotton Patch, Chick-fil-A, Dick's Uptown Cafe, Panera and Red Robin teamed together to present a meal people all over town are talking about.

David Hira's magic was a hit 

We are so fortunate to have David Hira as the entertainment. This world renouned magician has appeared on 63 TV shows, Cruise ships, Las Vages and the White House donated his time to make Fashion With Flair a success.
